MUA Artiste Collection Palette

Oo I love a bit of Make Up Academy Goodies!
I have quite a few palettes in my stash which i'm always changing up and recently rediscovered the MUA Artiste Palette.
In this palette, there are 6 colours which have a speckled/marbled effect which is quite interesting! I bought this a few months ago in Superdrug whilst it was on offer where you spend £6 or more on MUA products and you get this palette for free so I had to take advantage of it and after changing my make up storage, I rediscovered it!
The size of the palette is the same size as the other palettes but have rectangular pans instead of circular which means you get more product for £2 extra! All of the colours are well pigmented for the price of the palette and work really well on the eyes. The speckled/marbled doesn't come up on the eyes as seen in the swatch as well as I thought it would but that's not a biggie for me. I also like the colour range in this palette as there are some neutral colours alongside some colours I wouldn't use such as 'Ice' and 'Grape' (third and forth colours in) but I have worn them and blended them into a neutral smokey eye. I have to say 'Mocha', 'Chocolate' and 'Cookie' are my favourite colours out of the bunch and work well together.
The palette also comes with 2 blusher shades which a are pink with the colour on the left called 'Pink Sparkle' being a lighter colour. And if that wasn't enough, it also comes with a bronzer and highlighter! So you have everything you need in one palette which reduces the size of my make up bag right down. All the colours except the bronzer are shimmer which I personally love a shimmer in some colours.

Overall, I would recommend this product if you are looking for a multi-use palette with everything powder wise in.

Have you tired this palette and whats your opinion on it?

HD Brows Palette in 'Bombshell'

HD Brow Palette - £19.99

Unless you have been living under a rock the past few years, you would know that eyebrows have become a big statement in the world of beauty. With the likes of Cara Delevingne being popular for her bold brows, everyone now dreams of having the perfect brows.

Last year I received a product which I had been wanting for months in a Glossybox which was the HD Brows palette. I literally screamed with joy when this arrived! I got the colour 'Bombshell' which is for blonde hair but my eyebrows are naturally light so this palette is a good match.

Now I have tried using wax and pencils but my eyebrows are naturally very thin (many people think I wax, thread or pluck them, I don't) so I find it hard to use these types of products. I have also used a basic light brown eyeshadow to fill in my brows before I received this and it did a pretty good job. After I fill my brows in, I use a clear mascara to ensure that they stay put all day.

The palette itself comes with a nude colour which doesn't show up to well on my skin but I use it on my brow bone to highlight it. It also comes with a matte black shadow which works great on the lash line if you want a subtle eyeliner look. It also comes with two brow colours called 'Medium Blonde' and 'Ash Blonde' which are very similar in colour but Medium Blonde is a lighter brown colour which I currently use at the moment to fill my brows. All the colours are very pigmented so only a little is needed to fill my brows in.

I use my ELF flat eyeliner brush to apply the shadow to my brows as its thin and its easy for me to line my eyebrows. From the picture above you can see how thin my brows are so I don't like to make them any bigger because I have quite a small face anyway so I think it would look stupid. I also don't like to make them look too perfect as I like a natural looking face so having perfect strong brows just wouldn't suit me.

The design of the palette is very simple and not too big. It comes with a large mirror which means you don't have to carry around a mirror if you have this with you. It also comes with a brush is surprisingly good as I don't really use brushes that come with palettes. I would continue using it but I've lost it. Typical.

What do you think of the HD Brows Palette and have you tired any of there other products?

Bourjois Little Round Pot Blushers

I know what you're thinking, more blusher really?! Yes, really.
I was snooping around looking through blogs and I came across one (I cant remember which one it was) which mentioned that these blushers were on offer at £2 each on the boots website so I had to check them out. I thought it might be a limited offer which had run out or maybe she was lucky? But I checked it out and they were in fact £2 each so I had to place a order!

The first colour is called 'Golden Rose' which is a gorgeous rose going on hot pink colour with a strong gold shimmer running through it (like the name suggests?!). I love wearing this colour with a simple neutral eye and a soft pink lip.

The second colour and my favourite is called 'Healthy Mix'. This colour is a gorgeous more on the orange side coral which doesn't have any shimmer through it so it's great for when you want a simple make up look. This is the colour I have been wearing most with again a neutral eye and Revlon Lip Butters 'Juicy Papaya' on my lips for a hint of colour.

The final colour I got is called 'Jasper Rose' which is a rose colour again with gold shimmer running through it. Again I wear this with a simple eye and lip.

These are the first Bourjois blushers I have and I love them. The pigmentation of them are amazing. They are so soft and long lasting on the cheek. The smell of them are quite weird in my opinion and it has that grandma smell to it but it's nothing over powering. Alongside the price of them, there was a 3 for 2 offer which meant I payed £4 for three blushers which I think is amazeballs especially as they are retailed at £7.99 each. On the boots website, they are also running a offer where you buy three Bourjois products and you get a free pair of sunglasses! These not really the type of sunglasses I usually go for but i'll get some use out of them and they come with this cute holder to put them in!

I have looked on the boots website to see if they are still on offer but from what I can see they are no longer on offer anymore but it is defo worth keeping your eye out for a bargain!

What do you think of the Bourjois blushers?

MUA lipstick in Nectar

MUA lipstick in Nectar - £1

I love the MUA range. I have many of there products from blushes to nail polish to eye palettes and for the prices that there products are, it is one of my favourite brands. Don't get me wrong, some of there products are not so great but its a case of hit or miss with them and you cant complain when the majority of their products are £1.

I am trying my hardest to try more lipsticks out and I have had my eye on this one for some time but my local superdrug never had it in stock. But, on the weekend they re-stocked the MUA counter up. YAY! So i snatched this straight away and I have fallen in love with it.

The colour of it is gorgeous. It is a coral colour but more on the orange side than pink and it is so so so creamy on the lips. My lips are fairly bad at the moment which means it doesn't look nice with flakey lips so photos up close are a bit naff. But the pigmentation of it is brilliant! And the bottom of the packaging includes a little tub of lipstick which i'm not sure i'd use but it makes it easier when picked out what colour to wear.

The colour of it itself is bright which means it will look gorgeous with a summer glowing tan. When my lips are better, I am planning to wear it with a very simple eye make up look alongside a simple outfit in order for the colour to be the main focus.
Because i'm not a lippy person, i'm still trying to find out what colour suits me but I feel that this sort of shade goes well with my blue eyes and brown hair and funnily enough my pale skin? Who would have thought it. I've heard that it gives a matte finish which i'm unsure about as my lips are dry as it is but I haven't had the right lips to see yet.

Overall from what I've tried, I am in love with this lipstick and I can't wait to wear it more!

Have you tired MUA's lipstick range or any of there products?

Apocalips Lip Lacquers

Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquers - Celestial £5.99

A couple of months ago, Boots had there 3 for 2 offer (which lasted like a life time) and I heard a lot about the new Apocalips by Rimmel so I bit the bullet and bought one.
Now if you've read my previous posts, you know that I am not a lippy person so I was unsure on 1. wether to get one and 2. what colour to get. I liked the look of 'Big Bang' but I think reds done suit me so I picked a more neutral lip colour and went for Celestial even though I wish I had picked up Apocaliptic as its looks beautiful. I won't go into too much detail about what they are as everyone knows about them.

My first impressions of this was that I didn't like it. The first thing that put me off was the scent. I can't describe it, it just smells horrific and I'm the type of person that bases products on smells.
The second thing that put me off was the doe-foot applicator. It has a big dent like feature in the applicator so when I put the right amount on and give it a final go over, the product hidden in the dent goes on my lips and put too much product on them. I also do not like that it doesn't set so after a while I forget it doesn't set and I get it all over my face. Not a good look.

However, there are things I do like about it yay!
I love the packaging! I love the lid as well as the bottom of the packaging and the colour at the bottom of the packaging is true to colour unlike some lip products. I also like the colour of it. It is a very 'your lips but better' colour but I have a few lip products this colour so I wish I bought a bolder colour like apocaliptic. I also like that it is basically a liquid lipstick with the gloss that a lip gloss gives you.
Recently, I have dug it out a bit more to see if I've changed my mind about it and I'm liking it a bit more than what I did. I don't know why when all the things I like and don't like haven't changed.

Overall, from what they were hyped up to be, I am a little disappointed with the Apocalips but I'm determine to use is a little bit more and try to love it like others do.

Have you tried out the Rimmel Apocalip Lip Lacquers and what do you think of them?

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum - 51 Light Vanilla £10.99

I was in Tesco about a month ago now and I always drift off to the beauty aisle. I came across the Bourjois section and saw that the healthy mix serum was on offer from £10.99 to £8 and I wanted to try this foundation for ages but I already have 5 on the go so I never felt the need to get it until it was on offer. This is also my first ever product from  Bourjois funnily enough and I heard so many good things so I wanted to try it out.

The first thing I love is the smell of the foundation. If it was okay to eat it, I would it smells that good! It gives a light coverage which I love as its far too hot to wear a medium to full coverage foundation but it still gives a good coverage to cover redness and any imperfections on my face. I got the shade 51 light vanilla which I thought would be too light for me but it matches my skin perfectly. But when I get a bit more colour in the summer, I think it will be too light for me boohoo.
I also love that it is gel based which makes it easier to blend in and it gives my skin a dewy finish but not to the extent where it is too dewy so I don't have to powder after applying this.
It claims to give a boost of radiance to your skin which I definitely agree with. With the help of my Moisture Match moisturiser from Garneir a review of it is here it does give a massive different to how my skin looks and feels. I use the Real Techniques expert face brush to blend it in which gives a flawless finish to the skin.

Overall I am in love with this product and I cannot fault it at all and I cannot wait to purchase more Bourjois products.

Have you tried this foundation or any of the other Bourjois products and what do you think of them?

Review: Garnier Moisture Match for Dull Skin

Garnier Moisture Match for Dull Skin - £5.99
Hey guys
I'm not really a skin care person (its really bad I know) but I don't enjoy the concept of doing it. But as I've got more into make up, the past year all so I have got more into it and more into taking care of my skin. Most people know what their skin type is but mine differs from time to time. Sometimes its normal, sometimes its a bit oily and dry so I find it hard to buy skin care to match my skin type.
Recently, Garnier have bought out the new Moisture Match which states that it adapts to your skin type which I was very excited about. They have 5 different formulas which means there should be one to match your skin type. I bought mine over a month ago in Tesco and I thought I'd try the formula for dull skin as I feel that my skin is dull. and, I am in love with this product!
The first thing I love is the packaging, it so cute! I like how each formula has a different colour so you get the correct one. I also love the scent of it. It smells citrussy with lemon and lime which I find cools my skin which is perfect for the summer (yes, the sun is finally coming out in the UK!).
It is gel based and not oily on the skin which is perfect for people with oily skin and it absorbs really fast like, reallyyyyy fast and I find it mattifies my skin so it makes a great primer for my foundation.

Since using this, I have noticed a big difference in my skin. It appears alot more radiant, it does re hydrate my skin (not sure it does for 24 hours), it fills in my pores and it smooths my skin so much, its like a babies butt. No joke. I use this product both in the morning and before I go to bed and my skin is 100% better than what is was.

Overall, I am really impressed with this product and i'm thinking about getting a few more from the line to see if they match up.

Have you tried the new moisture match for Garnier and what do you think?
