Where have I been?

Well, sitting here watching KUWTK and typing this post feels very, weird.
On my last post, I said how this year is important for me with my last year at college and that I am wanting to go to uni and that I was going to take a slight backseat to blogging and focus on my career. Which I have definitely done.
I did not mean to completely stop blogging for 8 months but life got busy which means I really haven't had the time to sit down and write posts. So I just want to take the time to explain about whats gone on recently and what is going to come within the next few months.

Well when I first started this blog, I said that me and my boyfriend were looking at moving out with our two best friends. Well, November came and we found a place and we moved in!
The idea that I have moved out of my family home and have my own place still doesn't sound right *pinches my arm to realise it is all true*. We went to look at this place and within two weeks, we were moving all of our stuff in and I was unpacking everything. The experience of moving out of my family home was harder than what I thought. I'm not going to lie, I did shed a tear because the thought of not seeing my mum, dad and younger brothers and sister was quite upsetting as I was so used to seeing them everyday. However now, I believe that my relationship with my family has grown as I appreciate them more than what I did already and I enjoy the days of where I have my little brothers and sister staying over. I love it.

As you know, this year is my last year at college doing Forensic Science so it is important that I get the best grades that I am get to move on with further education. Before Christmas after applying to university, I received all 4 offers from my chosen universities without no rejections! The thought of me going to uni this years till baffles me. I have chosen Anglia Ruskin to study Crime and Investigation Studies as my firm and my local university to do the same course as my insurance. But the hard work does not stop there, I still have so much work to do in so little time.

So what is to come from my little blog?
I really have missed blogging. I have been debating to start blogging again for months but I have finally decided that even though I have plenty of work to be getting on with, I still need time to relax and ramble on about things I love.

I am so sorry this post has been long awaited and long winded but, better late than never. Remember to leave me comments letting me know on what you're wanting to see on beautyfromwithin.

A little update

Well hello there, strangers!
I felt like I haven't sat down and typed in forever. Life recently has been a bit busy with everyday things which means I haven't been able to sit down and type a post which means my blog has been a bit neglected.
I like to take my time when writing a post making sure that I don't miss anything out and making sure that it is something that I would read myself. Life has been busy in the terms of going away for a few days, getting myself ready to go back to college, sorting uni stuff like open days and personal statement stuff as well as just enjoying the time I have left not being at college.
As well as this, I feel like when I have had the time to blog, I haven't wanted to so I feel as if I've had the 'blogger block' from posting anything just because I haven't been bothered to basically which is weird for me to say I haven't been doing it for long. I want blogging to be a hobby where I enjoy trying and reviewing products as well as writing about other things. Whereas at the end of July/beginning of August I was blogging everyday which I enjoyed but the minute I woke up, I felt like I had to get on my laptop and type away which I didn't want so it became like chore for me to do so I stepped back for a few days which turned out to be a few weeks. Oops.
However, these few weeks has made me focus on the more important things in life mainly my career as my last year at college is a big one and starting to look at universities has taken a lot of time up. This 'break' has also made me take my blog a bit more seriously than what I already was so I am currently doing a re-vamp on my blog as I quickly made this design whereas I'm looking a lot more into a new design which will be up soon. I also have a lot of new ideas for new posts including my little 'holiday' getaway which will up up shortly. I have also decided to not post everyday but post at least twice a week but I don't want to choose set days, I will just post when I can.

So, I'm sorry for not posting new material but be sure to keep checking back for my new design and let me know what you think of it. Also leave comments down below of what stuff you want to see on here as I'm always on the look out for new ideas.

MUA Artiste Collection Palette

Oo I love a bit of Make Up Academy Goodies!
I have quite a few palettes in my stash which i'm always changing up and recently rediscovered the MUA Artiste Palette.
In this palette, there are 6 colours which have a speckled/marbled effect which is quite interesting! I bought this a few months ago in Superdrug whilst it was on offer where you spend £6 or more on MUA products and you get this palette for free so I had to take advantage of it and after changing my make up storage, I rediscovered it!
The size of the palette is the same size as the other palettes but have rectangular pans instead of circular which means you get more product for £2 extra! All of the colours are well pigmented for the price of the palette and work really well on the eyes. The speckled/marbled doesn't come up on the eyes as seen in the swatch as well as I thought it would but that's not a biggie for me. I also like the colour range in this palette as there are some neutral colours alongside some colours I wouldn't use such as 'Ice' and 'Grape' (third and forth colours in) but I have worn them and blended them into a neutral smokey eye. I have to say 'Mocha', 'Chocolate' and 'Cookie' are my favourite colours out of the bunch and work well together.
The palette also comes with 2 blusher shades which a are pink with the colour on the left called 'Pink Sparkle' being a lighter colour. And if that wasn't enough, it also comes with a bronzer and highlighter! So you have everything you need in one palette which reduces the size of my make up bag right down. All the colours except the bronzer are shimmer which I personally love a shimmer in some colours.

Overall, I would recommend this product if you are looking for a multi-use palette with everything powder wise in.

Have you tired this palette and whats your opinion on it?

Essie 'Fear & Desire'

My love for nail polish is forever growing so I recently made a order with Fragrance Direct and ordered some goodies!
Essie polishes are very hyped up in the beauty community and they retail at £7.99 in Superdrug and Boots but Fragrance Direct stock them for £1.99 each, such a bargain!
I ordered the colour 'Fear and Desire' as I wanted a bright bold colour for summer and when I saw this colour, I fell in love. I only have one other Essie polish called 'Sugar Daddy' which I got in a Glossybox but I don't get on well with as its so light and my nails need about 5 coats to get the desired colour. I was going to get 'Bikini So Teeney' which is very popular but I am going to order it next time!
Anywho, the first thing I love is the colour. On the website it looks much more like a paler orange but i'm glad that its a bolder colour. I'm not the type of person to match my nails to an outfit so I will wear this colour with a black outfit or with a green t-shirt, it doesn't bother me.
The next thing I love is the pigmentation of the polish. I can get away with wearing one coat if I'm in a hurry but I love the intensity of two coats. And it gives a glossy look on the nails.
The delivery came within 2 days and I ordered at 8pm one night and got standard order so it came so quickly!

I can't wait to order more Essie nail polishes from Fragrance direct as well as more goodies!

Have you used Fragrance Direct before and what do you think of them?

HD Brows Palette in 'Bombshell'

HD Brow Palette - £19.99

Unless you have been living under a rock the past few years, you would know that eyebrows have become a big statement in the world of beauty. With the likes of Cara Delevingne being popular for her bold brows, everyone now dreams of having the perfect brows.

Last year I received a product which I had been wanting for months in a Glossybox which was the HD Brows palette. I literally screamed with joy when this arrived! I got the colour 'Bombshell' which is for blonde hair but my eyebrows are naturally light so this palette is a good match.

Now I have tried using wax and pencils but my eyebrows are naturally very thin (many people think I wax, thread or pluck them, I don't) so I find it hard to use these types of products. I have also used a basic light brown eyeshadow to fill in my brows before I received this and it did a pretty good job. After I fill my brows in, I use a clear mascara to ensure that they stay put all day.

The palette itself comes with a nude colour which doesn't show up to well on my skin but I use it on my brow bone to highlight it. It also comes with a matte black shadow which works great on the lash line if you want a subtle eyeliner look. It also comes with two brow colours called 'Medium Blonde' and 'Ash Blonde' which are very similar in colour but Medium Blonde is a lighter brown colour which I currently use at the moment to fill my brows. All the colours are very pigmented so only a little is needed to fill my brows in.

I use my ELF flat eyeliner brush to apply the shadow to my brows as its thin and its easy for me to line my eyebrows. From the picture above you can see how thin my brows are so I don't like to make them any bigger because I have quite a small face anyway so I think it would look stupid. I also don't like to make them look too perfect as I like a natural looking face so having perfect strong brows just wouldn't suit me.

The design of the palette is very simple and not too big. It comes with a large mirror which means you don't have to carry around a mirror if you have this with you. It also comes with a brush is surprisingly good as I don't really use brushes that come with palettes. I would continue using it but I've lost it. Typical.

What do you think of the HD Brows Palette and have you tired any of there other products?

Bourjois Little Round Pot Blushers

I know what you're thinking, more blusher really?! Yes, really.
I was snooping around looking through blogs and I came across one (I cant remember which one it was) which mentioned that these blushers were on offer at £2 each on the boots website so I had to check them out. I thought it might be a limited offer which had run out or maybe she was lucky? But I checked it out and they were in fact £2 each so I had to place a order!

The first colour is called 'Golden Rose' which is a gorgeous rose going on hot pink colour with a strong gold shimmer running through it (like the name suggests?!). I love wearing this colour with a simple neutral eye and a soft pink lip.

The second colour and my favourite is called 'Healthy Mix'. This colour is a gorgeous more on the orange side coral which doesn't have any shimmer through it so it's great for when you want a simple make up look. This is the colour I have been wearing most with again a neutral eye and Revlon Lip Butters 'Juicy Papaya' on my lips for a hint of colour.

The final colour I got is called 'Jasper Rose' which is a rose colour again with gold shimmer running through it. Again I wear this with a simple eye and lip.

These are the first Bourjois blushers I have and I love them. The pigmentation of them are amazing. They are so soft and long lasting on the cheek. The smell of them are quite weird in my opinion and it has that grandma smell to it but it's nothing over powering. Alongside the price of them, there was a 3 for 2 offer which meant I payed £4 for three blushers which I think is amazeballs especially as they are retailed at £7.99 each. On the boots website, they are also running a offer where you buy three Bourjois products and you get a free pair of sunglasses! These not really the type of sunglasses I usually go for but i'll get some use out of them and they come with this cute holder to put them in!

I have looked on the boots website to see if they are still on offer but from what I can see they are no longer on offer anymore but it is defo worth keeping your eye out for a bargain!

What do you think of the Bourjois blushers?
